Those who have been following us for a long time know it well: our story has deep roots, dating back to 1951, when Gian Pietro Mosconi founded the eponymous company, which has been led by Giorgio Mosconi for over 25 years, now joined by his son Lorenzo.
Over time, many things have changed, primarily research, which has involved not only machines and processes but also materials, fabrics, and, more generally, the aesthetic taste of the general public. However, throughout all this time, one thing has never changed: our passion for ties and scarves, two timeless symbols of style and elegance that tell the story of a region, Como, always dedicated to the production of the noble silk fabric.
This passion has always been in our DNA since the company was founded: 71 years ago, the company exclusively dealt with silk ties and scarves, both printed and jacquard woven. Subsequently, it expanded its production to accessories in a broader sense, looking not only at new products (such as scarves, bow ties, pareos, and much more) but also at art reproductions with traditional and digital hand printing and numerous promotional items. All this has been made possible thanks to careful management that respects the parameters of artisanal taste, combined over time with creativity, aesthetic taste, and meticulous research for optimizing work processes.

Why ties and scarves
But why ties and scarves? Well, here at Seterie Mosconi, we are convinced that these two accessories, symbols of timeless style and beauty, are the perfect inspiration for treating yourself to a useful item or for a always appreciated promotional gift.
Take, for example, the tie: giving one as a gift is always a kind gesture, a polite demonstration by the giver, as well as a pleasure for the recipient. The tie is one of the few items that a man will never consider having enough of, also because buying a suit often requires a suitable tie. A classy man may become attached to his agenda, pen, keychain, and watch, but he will always have many ties to alternate, personalizing his way of dressing.
The same can be said for the foulard, which, like the tie, offers solutions for every budget. Ties and scarves also take up little space, can be stored in a briefcase, and are not bulky gifts, even though they can surpass many traditional gift items in value.
How could we, finally, manifest our passion for ties and scarves? We thought about it until a few years ago when we won a first prize awarded for the best “promotional tie”.
